Is there any problem in having 2D Vertical loop in very high pressure steam piping in rack ?

Due to some supporting problem 3D horizontal loop can't be provided and engineering contractor has suggested 2D vertical loop for a very high pressure steam piping in rack.

Given adequate steam drains at low points and vents at high points and slopes for drain, I don't find any problem in the above proposition. I expect opinions of our forum members on this issue.

regards,

Sam

Is this what you are talking about?

or the top center one of these?

They can all be done but you still need support along with proper "Boots" for the collection of condensate, steam traps, etc.

Thanks for the prompt & excellent support.

Yes, I talked about the second one- 2D verical loop, not much different from 3D loop we come across in a rack piping from the perspective of steam drain, vent and flexibility.

Sam
