Dear All,

Please help.

I am first time extracting SP3D pcf file and convert into caesar II model.

When there is a branch (with and without re-inforcing pad), some value is extracted automatically for SIF(o) and SIF(i) in the TEE&SIF dialog box.

However, the value is not as per calculated value according to appendix D ASME B31.3.

Where are these value come from?

Please advise.

Thank you

Is the tee type specified correctly?

You'll get a better (faster) response (since files are involved) if you open a Support Request on eCustomer and send in the PCF file generated by SP3D as well as your CAESAR II model. Please indicate what you feel is incorrect so we can address this without any wasted effort.

This is because in the mapping file PCF_SIF_MAP.txt the following line is for reinforced option:
TESO 1 PAD=10 MM Ii=1.23 Io=2.34

this mean that these values will be inserted in the fields, regardless the real values.

You will have to manually change these fields.

I guess the best thing to do is to alter the PCF_SIF_MAP.txt file and to change as follows:

TESO 2

this will make the branch as unreinforced which is more conservative. You can later change. This can be a help for the ones that do not check what is imported.
