Hi ,
At present we are using caesar 5.3.In caesar while clicking displacement options, it appears node 1 and node 2 for 9 temp. cases.

I want to know in what way node 2 will help?

If iam defining displacement at node 1 (letus say node160) is 150 mm and at node 2(letus say same node 160) -100,then in results it shows displacement at node 160 is 25 mm .whY?can any one help on it?

The two slots are for two different nodes. If you want to define multiple displacements at the same node, use the different deisplacement vectors (columns) on the input grid.

Hello there,

I am a new user of CAESAR II. Do we need to check the displacement option in the case where hanger is installed on certain nodes?

If yes, what are the values to put into the displacement option? Is it the hanger's movement design value?

When do we need to check the displacement option actually?

Does it depends on certain load cases or applied to all load cases?

Please advice.

Thank you.

Regards,

Hafiz

Only when the hanger is connected to a vessel or structure that have displacements.
