When I print a graphic from the output I like to only display the node numbers pertaining to the restraint and anchor locations. Caesar allows you to do this. Except, if you have replaced the node numbers with names, (Typically PS1, PS2, etc.) it no longer treats these as special nodes and only includes in the graphic when you ask for ALL nodes. Is there a way that I can have node names and display only them on the graphics?

That will require changing the software - not a big deal, but I can't tell you anything here that will get you what you want today.

i) Node numbers being hidden: Some node numbers are hidden behind pipes when I print them on paper. (But they do show up on the screen) It happens regardless whether I used Shaded/Hidden-line Wireframe/Wireframe views. I tried to spin the model around in hope of displaying these hidden node numbers, but with no luck. Is there any way to get around this problem?

ii) Model zooming out during 'print' operation: Whenever I hit the 'print' button, the model input dialog box pops out (=unhide) and the model is squeezed into the small space on the right hand size in a much smaller scale. Then what I see on the paper is only a tiny tiny model based on that small zoom scale.

My solution: I had to double click the input dialogue box title bar > 'float' the dialogue box' > resize the dialogue box to a very small size > then 'print'.

Is there anyway 'lock' the minimised input dialogue box and preventing it from popping out during the print operation?

iii) Hidden-line Wireframe & Wireframe Views not printing out as shown on the screen: When I print out the model in these views, the whole pipes are printed in solid grey (a lot uglier than actual Shaded View plots). Perhaps lines are too dense to be printed properly? But, these grids are looking OK when I see them on the screen. Any solutions?

I am running Win2K SP4 and CAESAR II ver 5.00.2 Build 060301. And yes, I tried above using many different printers and workstations around the office already! My display setting is 1024x768 with GeForce4 MX 440 with AGP8X (nVIDIA) graphics card (64MB)

Cheers,
