The only reference I found to Bourdon effect is regarding the example stress analysis Appendix S:

S301.4 Pressure Effects
...... The effects of pressure-induced elongation and Bourdon effects are not included, as both are deemed negligible for this particular example.
Unquote.
That does not by any means suggest that these effects may generally be ignored. In large diameter high yield pipe for example, pressure end effects can sometimes cause as much elongation as thermal expansion.
