It is in fact an interesting topic. The aim is to simulate a pipe going down to a gas well. There are some other mining activities around and the ground velocity is an issue on the integrity of the pipe.
Site data are available including the Geotech of the area and the ground velocities data from previous activities.
The question is:
1. Can we model a pipe, In Caesar II, of say 6in diameter, (known geometry and physical properties), running vertically down in the ground to a given depth.
2. Then, using Caesar II dynamic modeling to subject the pipe to several ground velocity values until we reach the point of pipe failure. Then compare the theoretical ground velocity values with the existing site records for further analysis.
Your Ideas would be appreciated.
