hi,
I have not checked yet, Do any one have idea while entering design and operating temperature, some time value will not get deleted for pressure, just noticed now temperature gets deleted, So I type 0F as Nil value,Do CII consider as freezing temperature?
1) What happens when we consider before valve closed as 0F and after valve as operating temperature, Do CII consider as 0F as freezing temperature?
2) I assuming when we have default 70F ambient temperature even when we consider 0F temperature as Nil temperature value for small spool of line, CII should consider this spool as 70F ambient temperature but not Freezing as Nil=0F.
I have not checked it, but I will check now.

No, do not try to use a temperature of zero. The reason is that in the temperature field you can enter either a temperature or an expansion coefficient (in units of length/length). (Read the help text on the temperature fields for details.)

So how does CAESAR II know whether the value is a temperature or an expansion coefficient? By comparing your entered value to the alpha tolerance defined in the Configuration File (which defaults to 0.05).

Therefore, if you enter a T1 value of 0.06, CAESAR II considers this a temperature. If you enter a T1 value of 0.04, CAESAR II considers this an expansion coefficient. Actually, any value between -0.0499999999 and +0.0499999999 will (by default) be considered an expansion coefficient.

While you can change the magnitude of the alpha tolerance defined in the Configuration File, you cannot specify a temperature of zero. Instead, use a value just slightly larger than the alpha tolerance.
