I would like to know which wave theory to choose from theories available in caesar.
Is it to be based on depth / wave height / wave period / current velocity??

This should really be called out in the project specification. However, after you have defined all of the hydrodynamic parameters, in the toolbar you'll find a button for "charting". This produces a number of XY type plots for the solution to your wave.

When you click this, the first chart is the "Recommended Theory Chart". Expand the window as necessary to see the entire color key at the bottom.

Alternatively you can press the [View Data Table] button which will give you the numeric results of the wave solution, including the recommended theory.
