Hello Dears,

Recently I received a suggestion for leading a group for manufacturing spring support. I know about spring support selection but I don’t know anything about manufacture them. I should do it as soon as possible.

Is there anyone to follow me about it by book, catalog, or anything?

Best wishes,

I think you can take the list of Caesar Spring hanger manufacturer and visit their websites. Start with Lisega.

Spring support manufacturing should be a system work which involved material, mechanics , etc....

Hello Dears,

How can we design a table of selecting spring support like LISEGA. It's so important for me. I don't have enough time.

Thanks,

Unquote.

It might be a good idea for the interested company to find a production engineer who knows about manufacturing, rather than just selecting from a catalogue.

Regarding designing a table like Lisega's .... Best to start with .... what springs are you going to use ? what spring rate, load limit, etc.

Dear Mover7,

I've provided a selecting table for our job. I've attached it in the topic. I was wondering if some one find any problem in it or get his/her suggestion for providing a better one.

Dear Mohammad

I guess you are assign to work as stress engineer. If so you don't have to design table like lisega, you should use table supplied by such vendor.

1) You can use caesar default spring when required most of the cases.

2) In case you like to make spring user define you need to follow spring table.
First check the load on support location. You will find 4 to 5 different spring stiffness for same load.
If select most soft spring it will make displacement more but load variance less.
If select most hard spring it will make displacement less bur load variance more.

Based on actual pipe condition & requirement you can select spring stiffness.

Habib

You can find some info on page 4.

http://www.phsind.com/catalogs/PHS_2V-e.PDF

You can find same/similar information on the other manufacturer's catalogs.

Hello dears,

We want to design a constant spring support for a costumer for first time. We researched so much in different catalogues but we couldn't understand one thing:

I have attached a paper from ANVIL and I have a question. How we can make a Fixed Spring Pivot without any clash with Load Spring. You should note that it is fixed to Spring Cover in FIG that I specified it.

Just be careful, copying other's product might put your company under very large penalty due to the copy laws. I suggest you to investigate if this type of supports is under patent laws. I think, using your invention of mechanism can solve everything.

If the patent is not an issue, you need to investigate the mechanism and iterate until you reach your target, which is the basic. I do not think anyone will give you their design/manufacturing secret due to the very harsh competition on the business. Sometimes, again if this is not against the law, buying one product, understanding its mechanism, and developing it for your manufacturing needs is another way getting into the business.

So you, your company, have choices under/outside the patent laws. Unfortunately, I believe, you will not get any help on this issue other than what you already have.

Kind regards,

Ibrahim Demir

The first sentence "copy laws" should be read as "Copy Right Laws".
