You need to do a lot of reading, Pipe Stress Analysis is much more than simply entering data into a program like CAESAR II.

Just to get a rough idea, review either B31.1 or B31.3, or pick up some reference texts on the subject.

You can get an idea of what is involved by reviewing some of the threads in this forum, find some with more than 10 posts and start there.

Hi Richard Ay,

Thks a lots for your advice. I also start to reading this book (Piping Handbook,7th Edition,
Nayyar, Mohinder L. © 2000 McGraw-Hill ). If you don't mind, pls suggest the best ref. book for me easy to understand because i am fresh in this pipe stress analysis.

One of the best references I have seen on pipe stress analysis is the COADE course notes used for CAESAR Seminars.

'PIPE DESIGN FOR ROBUST SYSTEMS' by Michael Bussler, P.E. Anthony W. Paulin in 'Chemical Engineering' is also an excellent reference.
