I'm supposed to use B31.3 latest edition (i.e 2010 edition) for one of my forthcoming projects.The client further requires that B31.3 2010 edition is printed on the Stress reports.

The latest version of Casear II is 5.3 which conforms with ASME B 31.3 (2008 edition). Is there any way out to fix this such as a new update or a build or something on those lines so that the latest code edition may be used for analysis?

One of the ways is to update the allowable affected by the latest revision of the Code in Caesar Mat database & activate "Code Case 178" & "F/a component" in .cfg file (since this is now a requirement of the Code).

But how can I make my reports to print with B31.3 -2010 edition shown on Stress Reports ?

Insert a note in the Title sheet where you state that you comply with the requirements of B31.3 2010 edition. Or wait until the next Caesar 2012 is released

Danb is correct. Any given version of CAESAR II supports specific editions of the Codes. Once the software is released, the supported Codes can't be changed (think testing and QA here).

The 2010 Edition of B31.3 will be addressed in the next release (new version) of CAESAR II.

I too agree with richard. thorough testing (smoke test , regression testing )is required before releasing of any product.As of now , you can check changes or updates in new version of code and convey how it will affect the stress analysis to your client in seperate note. [I worked as release & QA engineer for mechanical product previously. those days usally i did not have sleep continuously for 10 days before release of the product for testing and checking]

B31.3 2010 was published in April 2011, 5 months after we released CAESAR II 2011 (5.30).
