I find that the "make Z vertical" tick box in Configuration window does not take, but reverts to Y vertical when I view the calc file.

Did you rerun the job after checking that box?

Hi Richard,
I went off a bit prematurely last time!
The Z vertical works OK, but my Isometric has Y pos towards top left, X pos towards top right, Z is fine in the vertical.
CII has X pos towards bottom right, Y pos towards top right.
Is there any way to rotate CII axes to suit my axes?
I can do it with the "orbit" command, but of course that reverts to the default again.

You want the "Southwest" isometric view. Use the fly-out on the isometric toolbar button and the CAESAR II global axis will be how you want them. CAESAR II should remember this position between sessions.

If your piping doesn't line up with the global axis the way you want, use the "LIST-Rotate" faciltiy to rottae the entire model plus or minus 90 degrees as needed.

I have up/downloaded a file from PDS To CAESAR II.
But, my Isometrics have “Z” axis Vertical and the converted CII file comes with “Y” vertical
Can you advise me as to how to make “Z” vertical

Element/Block/Rotate doesn't seem to provide needed solution

From within the input, go to the "Special Execution Options" dialog, then check the checkbox for "Z axis vertical".
