Can i use A312 316L for -85c?

I am finding the Code (pages 42,43,44)
Somewhat confusing

Sam has suggested stress ratio of .3, but,

316l is heat treated so:

as i read it, 316L is in itself ok, but any filler weld used has to be impact tested.

Therefore 316l is ok so long as you dont weld it.
if you do, then the stress ratio has to be below .3

Please can someone clarify?

Impact testing of weld metal only involves performing impact tests as part of the weld procedure qualification. See Table 323.2.2 note (2).

See also para. 323.2.2 (f) for additional exemptions from impact testing related to austenitic stainless steel.

ok. after reading it 500 times, i get it!.

Now i can use this for -85c without reduction in stress or the need for impact testing
(assuming filler <0.1%C)

Must say, a little unclear!.
