Hi all,

To reduce restraint on pump nozzle I used a can support.
In hanger input data I selected the pump nozzle node: "free restraint at Node" then I selected the "free Code" (in my case the restraint on Z axis)
the can node is 80
the pump node is 10

step1: hanger without free restraint option I got: 7400 N
Step 2: hanger with free restraint at node 10 I got 7162 N

my allowble force on pumpe is 5600 N

There is no big difference between this two case!!!
Using the free restraint option, the restraint must be considerably decreased so why still the same ????
is someone have an other approach using can support to decrease the restraint???

Dear Abdelkader

Put spring node 80 close to pump nozzle you will find nozzle load is changed significantly.

Next support after spring also have effect on pump nozzle. Try to make a well balance system by adjusting that support location.

Abdelkader,

Check your load direction, as far as I know springs are mainly used for vertical forces..as Habib said locate your spring close to nozzle, atleast 4D in order the free code to take effect. If your load is along Z then maybe due to friction force or your pipe is too stiff..think how to reduce these forces. Hope that will help.
