hi
now i am doing some flowlines for a FPSO

i want to apply slug force on those elbows

Use the "vector decomposition" method. If your force is in XZ plan, use Fx=Fsin*alpha and Fy=Fcos*alpha as input in Force/Moments field.

thanx for u r reply

for example my pipe is in x and z axis
if we see the cosine values in caesar (double click in the 2 arrow near the length entering column) it is giving
X=0.966
Z=0.259

so my resultant slug value is 40KN

is it correct if i apply like this

along X (40*0.966=38.64kn)
Z (40*0.259=10.36kn)

is this method is correct

Yes. because sin75=0.966(rounded) and cos75=sin15=0.259(rounded

Fx= 40*sin75
Fz= 40*cos75
