Can anyone advice me on how can we take end cap effect in caesar analysis?

When I do not enter any temperature I don't see any axial displacement in the line.
However when we run the analysis in Abacus we see some displacements when there in no temperature in the system.

Once you have your model opened go to the “Special execution Parameters” and click on “Active Burdon Effect”. Then choose “Translation only”. You will se on your Displacements the effect of the internal pressure at the cap.

I am not sure what actually you mean by end cap effect? Are you referencing to an axial displacement of the pipe under pressure or you want to know how to model an end cap in CAESAR II? If there is no temperature in the pipe, axial displacement is only possible through pressure ( bourdon option in CAESAR). You have mentioned about ABAQUS. What is your model and BC in ABAQUS and how are they different to that of CAESAR ( for the time being I am keeping the issue of element selection aside? The secondary stresses due to discontinuity effects at an end cap connection is not something which CAESAR II can catch but I think you know about this.
