Hi Stress Engineer,
I have question about how to modelling support in Equipment Platform, as you see,
in node 25 to node 27 I modelling :
- as rigid no value and using WT,Diameter same as pipe (24")
- ambient temp

But when I calculate evaluation at attachment nozzle is strange.
and then I try change diameter at node 25 - 27 as 4",
and I supprised very significant effect reduce the load especially for FY and MZ direction.

So, How to modelling correctly support at platform equipment.
Please inform me......

It is hard to say without seeing your model and the load cases. What is different between cases 5+6 compared to 4+7 (which seem to be producing similar results)?

I suspect something else is different besides the diameter of that one rigid element. Send your model in to TechSupport so they can look at it.

A support so close to the nozzle is not good. Any small influence from outside mean lange reaction on the nozzle. Of course more flexibility mean less harm to the nozzle, so no wonder. Note your upward Fy in the nozzle.
