I would like to know, what are the steps for selecting manualy hangers in Caesar.
I know that we need the cold load and the spring rate of the hanger.
Cold load is it the sustain load? And for selecting the spring rate, do we need the vertical displacement of the point or horizontal displacement?

You want the vertical (thermal) movement. Most spring hanger vendors have the manual selection process detailed in their catalogs. So if you can lay your hands on a catalog, you can step through the design process.
