Hopefully the next update to 2011 will catch this bug as well -

I'm working a system with several springs. I uncheck all the "allow short range spring" check boxes for each of the springs.

I run the system and get the expected normal travel springs.

I go back to the input to make some changes and run again.

Now I get short range springs.

I go back to the input to find that for all the springs in the file, the check box has been checked again.

So, in order to get normal travel springs, I've got to go to each spring in the file and uncheck the box before I make the run. I have to do this each time I want to make a run.

I must confess that I find it some what boggling that a function that has worked since the first windows version of Caesar now all of the sudden stops working.

Ed,

I feel your pain.

Clear the check box in the Hanger Control Data. That will leave your unchecked boxes alone. But you might have to explicitly (re)check all the boxes for those locations where shorts are allowed.
