I am not sure if I need to "turn something on", but the following commands are not active. (Meaning when I put the mouse over them from the menu, they are not highlighted, and can not be selected): Elem, Efill, EGen.

Likewise for the corresponding "Node" commands.

Method 1 (Element Definition -EDIM) has been selected.

Thank you for all comments.

When you build a structural model you have two modeling methods to select from:

1) Node/Element specification as in the typical FEA process. For this method you can use the generation commands, such as Efill, Egen, etc.

2) Element_Dimension (EDIM) which defines one element at a time, which is typical for piping systems. You cannot use the node/element generation commands with this method of model building.

Structural models are built with either method 1 or method 2, but not both.
