please clarify my following doubts

1) is ther any link between flow dirction and support location/selection

2)how can i split a big system in to 2 or 3 parts with out deleting remiang system

3)is ther any problm if we are giving the support gap in fraction eg-.5,.6,.7

4) what is the use of struts?

4) how can i avoid use of constant spring (solution)

Hi arun here is answer to your first query,
) is ther any link between flow dirction and support location/selection
for most of system there is no link but for PSVS and Control valves we provide limits stops as per flow direction

For thermal Expansion (or Contraction), YOU as the stress engineer have the POWER to control and direct the thermal movement of the piping with PIPE SUPPORTS. This has nothing to do with the flow direction.
