Hello to All.
I have to analyze system with settlement condition but this is not earth settlement. This is settlement of steel structure because of weight of piping. Must I consider for all operating cases: operating temp T1, design T2, steam-out T3 and depressurization T4 settlement D1. I have to use spring supports. For all supports i put input of D1 with c nodes. Load cases definitions are:
1 WEIGHT FOR HANGER LOADS 2 OPERATING FOR HANGER TRAVEL 3 HYDRO TEST CASE 4 OPERATING CASE 5 DESIGN CASE 6 SETAMOUT OPERATING CASE 7 DEPRESURIZATION CASE 8 SUSTAINED CASE 9 OPERATING+SEISMIC U1 10 OPERATING+SEISMIC U2 11 OPERATING+SEISMIC U3 12 SEISMIC U1 13 SEISMIC U2 14 SEISMIC U3 15 OPERATING EXPANSION CASE 16 DESIGN EXPANSION CASE 17 STEAMOUT EXPANSION CASE 18 DEPRESURIZATION EXPANSION CASE 19 SUSTAINED+SEISMIC 20 SUSTAINED+SEISMIC 21 SUSTAINED+SEISMIC
Before you assemble load cases perhaps you should think about construction sequence. If settlement is due to piping weight, how much piping will actually be connected when the settlement takes place ? It could be that the net effect on piping is negligable ?

All piping will be installed on steel structure. Later package will be transported to installation place. There is a few flanges which will be connected to vessels. Practically settlement will occur when the pipping is already installed Main piping is 24" 600# rating. Snapshot is under.
You will have some field welding between your vessels and module that will allow for adjusments (it is normal practice). So you do not have to think about.

I got info from civil engineer that on some places steel structure deflection is 4mm. One my friend advice me if I want to simulate steel structure deflection under supports best way is to put rigid for supports. That type information i should receive from civil engineer.
