We have CAESAR II version 5.10.00 (build #070917)and would like to upgarde to the latest version.

What is the methode for upgrading?

One local agent gave us an offer for a total amount of approx. US$ 26,500 for the new software and 1 year maintenance (standard concurrent use).That means there is no credit for my existing version and as good as I am buying the software new. Is it justified?

That is a good resaon to maintain the annual UMS contract for CAESARII, even though it mighht seem to be an expensive 2,600 USD per year. Since the annual updates include revisions to keep cuurent with piping code changes, it becomes a question of code compliance more than just cost.

Talk to the CAESARII sales support team. The UMS (Upgrade, Maintenance, and Support) contract could be renewed along with the previous back years to bring it to current time. The total cost for 5 years could be half of the 26,000 USD for just a new software license. The next update of CAESARII would be included with the renewed UMS contract.
