Hi Santrokumar.

It is maybe due to changes in the code between the two versions (for example: EN13480 has got a lot of changes)

Kind regards,

Yke

1) In the front of the "5.20" User's Guide (right behind the distribution letter) you will find a page listing the "Technical Changes" made in Version 5.20. These changes could cause different results between Version 5.20 and earlier versions. Check out this list to see if anything here applies to your model.

2) If you manually edited the neutral file, you could have fouled something up. Did you verify the model (in CAESAR II) once you got it back to 5.10?

3) Make sure the same "configuration" is used for both versions. Some of the configuration directives will change the results.

You can convert back your 5.1 to 5.2 model. If the old 5.2 result is that same with new 5.2 result, mean that is only the code that changed (material, sress allowable......) If not, it seems that the converting process was not reliable.

santrokumar :
It is better to issue the exact differencce between C5.1 and C5.2.
If you just mention there has difference, each one maybe think it result in code change or code update.
Actually , I believe your question isn't the difference that result in code change but big mistake after transfer back C5.1.

I also meet it: in CAESAR2011, everything is OK, after transfer, in 5.1, I get wromg result(not difference but wrong), then I use CAESAR2011 to run the model run by C5.1, the result is OK still.
now I am checking the reason......

If you're running EN_13480 then note that there were EN-13480 2010 code changes. EN-13480 2010 has made a number of changes to the SIF appendices. In H-1 the SIF for bends is now modified based on whether the bend has 1 or 2 flanged ends. In H-3, the bend flange modification is included as well as pressure stiffening effects.

These changes will affect the resulting stresses, so the answers will be different between 5.30 (2011) and earlier versions.
