If the material you are dealing with is not fibre reinforced, it will behave similarly to any metal, but is much less stiff. Expect a very low modulus, take properties from good vendor catalog such as George Fischer. You will have small spans between supports and the need for constant support (usually channel) under small bore runs. Look at the vendor's own pipe supports to save making special designs. If valves are metal, they will usually need their own supports.

Juice,

Make a search about TECH.INFO.PDF on Google it's a FREE SIMONA CATALOG that give you every think about all thermoplastic pipes (Mechanical properties, how calculating allowable stress and everything but it's using European method.(Germany)
For ASME APPROACH (HDBS APPROACH) you have to check PPI TR-9/ PPI TR-5 AND PPI-TR4 they are free documents that you can find with Google (search for PDF format).

Hope that will help you.

Search this forum for PP, PE, HDPE or thermoplastic and you will find a lot of topics concerning this material. Pipe stress analysis using CAESAR II is not the best way to analyze this material. Also think about short and long term material behaviour.
