Hi all,

i am beginner in stress analysis, i need a guidance on gas metering skid piping stress analysis and review of caesar II results.

1) Caesar II can recommend us the type of support?
2) what is the allowable displacements of pipes?
3) is there any necessary to do the analysis with structure modeling?

please provide me the answers and guidance to do the above analysis

1. No.

2. Depends on the support type, limiting stress, loads and many other criteria.

3. Generally not, but there are occasions where it is very important.

4. If you have parallel metering tubes, remember that one or more may be cold and may be strained by adjacent hot tubes.

5. Get some proper training. Don't fool around with Caeear II. It will not do stress analysis for you.
