DIFFERENCE BETWEEN ZSNB, +ZSNB OR -ZSNB

My question is the following.-
When we put into a calculation a +ZSNB, how could we design physically this restraint with a supplier as LISEGA?
Which is the difference between designing it physically with a +ZSNB or -ZSNB or ZSNB?
Best Regards

Don't do that. The directional snubbers were put into the program for "numerical completeness". Physically there is no such thing. I suppose you could build some type of fancy one-way connection, but that wouldn't be wise.

Dear Richard ,
I understand that physically Snubbers act in both directions. My doubt is the following: In Caesarīs calculation , the direction is considered for " numerical completeness ", but when we change a + ZSNB into ZSNB the results are different , and could happen a failure in the code compliance.
Best Regards.

Yes the results will be different, this makes sense. However, you can't physically do this, so don't analyze it. Use "ZSNB" only.

Dear Richard ,
Iīm very confused with this post . I think , as Caesarīs user, that if +ZNSB isnīt phisically posible to exists but it can be modelized in caesar and give us different results that modelized with ZSNB, this option would be eliminated in a future update of the programm. Best Regards

Agreed. However, there are much more important things to do. When time permits ...

Disagree.
you cannot in reality have a 'y' only support, yet these are used to control bouncing during iteration.
Whilst a +/- snubber is imposible, its ' Function' may be utilised to simulate other phenomena.

Hi, everybody!.
Hi superpiper,We are colleagues well known.
Which are these phenomena you think can be simulated with a +/-snnuber?.
If you modelize a +/- snnuber to simulate a thing, how would you modelize such support physically?.
I disagree with what you say about "y" support since it can serve, evidently, in order to avoid non convergences in the calculation, but you can modelize always this support if you consider it as necessary (if it achieves positive vertical load, for instance),moreover the obtained value of the calculation will be the same, either using a +Y or Y support, what it does not happen with the +snubber and snubber.(Being clear that if the point raises, the load value with a Y support is equivalent to the displacement obtained for a +Y support).
In short, the supports +Y,-Y and Y, the three can be modelized physically, but the supports -snubber,+snubber, cannot be modelized physically.
Kind regards,
