Hi Everybody,

I've been having problems with Caesar for the past couple of days. The input files are taking a very long time to load. The static output processor and output viewer are also very slow in loading. The programme seems to be able to run the analysis fine.

The problem effects ver5.2 & the new ver5.3.

My company IT dept recently intalled a new sever system however I have been assured that this is not the problem.

I would really appreciate any suggestions

Try this:

Open Caesar II and select Tools->Configure/Setup, click on Graphics Settings, and change the Video Driver to Windows Basic Video. Then click on Miscellaneous on the left and change the Memory Allocated to 64 MB and then save and exit with the icon in the upper-left corner of the configuration window.

This is a problem with me also but unable to understand whether it is CAESAR problem or something else. Coade is not able to confirm and trying to give us some solution, still not solving problem.

Is your installation on Citrix metaframe?

I have tried changing the video driver settings without success. If anything I'd say this made the problem worse.

My installation is Windows XP Service Pack 2, server 2003,2008. I am using a local HASP key (Green HASP).

I noticed on Friday that the problem seemed to disappear briefly at the end of the day for roughly 10mins then the problem re-appeared and the programme was running really slow again.

Take a look on your windows "Task manager" Maybe there is another program / service that is running in background and use the computer resources.

i'm facing the same problem.
i received ver.5.2 file from partner, but we have to do by ver.5.3.
it takes very very long time, even with good spec machine.

any idea?
