I have difficulties to relate the load cases with the specified longitudinal stresses due to... report. Can you please clarify the meaning of:

Wght. Str. Emp. Mom. = WE ??
Wght. Str. Opr. Mom. = WF ??
Wght. Str. Hyd. Mom. = CW ??

The definition in the manual do not fit the description in the report.

Also, why would WF be 0 in Combined Load Cases (bending stress due to wind moment (filled) no CA?

Thanks Ray, Yes I understand the definition. I will clarify my request. The PVElite output in the "Longitudinal Stresses Report" Section reads as followed. I am trying to relate the individual load cases you provided a description above to each of the calculation in the tables below. I am unclear about 3 columns and will highlight them with TBD. Can you please clarify the TBD.

ok, I have finally figured that one out. The missing 3 longitudinal stress columns identified above are relate to the moment due to the weight of nozzles and manholes on the shells for the operating, empty and hydrotest condition. WE, WF and CW and the only 3 load cases not defined in the longitudinal stress report. I must admit that I do not understand why they are not.

Regarding CW, it is considered for an empty case but curiously, it excludes the weight of the nozzles and manholes when calculating the loads. This is quite odd as the empty case should only remove the liquid and packing if specified as such. I would guess this is not normal or I misunderstand the intent of this load case.

I am using PVElite 11.
