Modeling Gaps In Dynamic Analysis

I'm running a dynamic seismic analysis and when I code a lateral restraint with a 1/16" gap the dynamic analysis seems to ignore the support. WhenI take out the gap the support works as it's supposed to. Anyone else have this problem?

Everybody. If the support do not close the gap, mean is no active and will be removed when you perform dynamic analysis. This is explained in manuals.
