Dear Sirs,
1) Is boiler External piping the after first valve is governed by ASME B31.3 is it correct.

2)What are all the materials normally used as per asme B31.3 for Steam @ 250 Deg. C & Pr=10Kg/cm2

1) Read B31.3-Cl. 300.1 Scope and refer Fig. 300.1.1
2) BEP with above parameters?
Should be covered in PMS, Isn't.
May be A106 Gr B for your parameters.

From The above discussion i have concluded that upto boiler first stop valve it is in ASME B31.1 scope.The remaining is in ASME B31.3 scope as applicable.

upto boiler 1st stop valve its the responsibility of ASME SecI, after that its the scope of ASME B31.1. pls see the fig. in B31.1 100.1.2(A) & (B)

You should go back and read the Clients "BED" (Basis for Engineering & Design) Document and also take note of the type of Project.

Normally:
If the Project is a Power Plant then ASME B31.1 would apply to all Boiler and Steam piping as well as all other piping.

If the Project is a Refinery or Chemical Plant then ASME B31.1 would apply to the boiler piping up to the boiler isolation valves and ASME B31.3 would apply to all steam piping beyond that point as well as all other piping.

Are you trying to work on steam piping without supervision, it will be disaster.Don't attempt. Take help of experience supervisor. The forum cnnot teach you. If your organisation doesn't have the design code, how are they executing job.
