We have recently installed the PVElite'11 in our system.
But we are facing a typical problem of examinig 3D model.
It responds very very slow.
My PC config is
Win XP Pro
Intel Core i5 processor (2.4 GHz)
RAM 3.24 GB
NVIDIA graphic card...

Run CodeCalc.exe and go to Tools/Configuration/Miscellaneous/Graphics Display Driver/ and change it from MSW to OpenGL. Now run PV Elite 2011.

Or you can also go to the start menu and type in ‘regedit’ to open the registry editor and then locate the registry key for HOOPS.

Change the ‘MSW’ for ‘OpenGL’.

Check that you have the latest Graphics drivers on your computer.

I think the problem with 3D model was time being because as per your suggestion "OpenGL" was Graphic Display Driver from the beginning itself.

However, thank you for your kind support and response. Now, 3D is working smoothly.

Just a question, do you typically use CodeCalc or PV Elite or both.

We use both the modules.

Specifically, for our detail/proposal engineering we are heavily dependent on PVElite.

Sometimes, if problem persists or need arises in particular area then we use code calc. For example, if we have to do bulk WRCs or checking tubesheets, performing appendix 13 calc for header design and others.
