Hi,

Any advice on how to model cased piping. To explain: the piping is laying inside a carrier pipe for a road crossing (many of them). There are no centralizers, so there is pipe to pipe friction the entire length of the cased pipe.

Can this be approximated by using a vertical support with friction every few feet and a guide with gaps? However, this method produces many nonlinear restraints resulting in non-convergence. Is there a more accurate way to model this?

Thanks.
