Good Evening to everyone
I am doing the Nozzle analysis with WRC 107. My model is showing fail at sustain in WRC 107.
Can anybody tell me what are the methods I should apply to make my model pass. I am getting trouble while passing my model in WRC 107.

Thanks and regards,
Peterson

Option 1: Make your restraints force your pipe from displacing so much at the nozzle.

Option 2: Get a better nozzle.

Option 3: Route your pipe in a different manner to add flexibility

Option 4: Review your design parameters to determine if they're over-conservative or not.

The new version of Caesar V5.3 has a WRC107 bug in it.
Coade are supplying a patch.

You'd think a mahoosive increase in the cost price would reduce these bugs and glitches.

Apparently not.....

I haven't updated to the 2011 version yet, but will soon. Thanks for the heads up.

I have face the same issue two months back, I have added spring hanger as per site condition, with out spring hanger I need to re-route the piping which is move expensive, finally client approved after checking the nozzle loads with in allowable limits.

Well.

I give up on it this morning. The Wrc 10z module keeps defaulting to the wrong .FIL file and giving me incorrect allowables. I've sent it off to support for assistance.

Yet again, a new release of CII has bugs in it which cost me time. Its quite annoying tbh.

The WRC module does not have bugs, the computations are correct. The issue with the WRC procedure in Version 5.30 is that the DLL that "can be optionally" used to read the loads from the static analysis results fails to properly read the "units filter". Therefore the loads acquired are in internal (Imperial) units.

So, until we can get the first build/patch out, don't use the [Get Loads from Output] button. Instead, manually type in the loads from the static results. The WRC analysis will be correct.

I've been on the phone for two hours with Fern trying to correct this issue.
The Module is currently working in Imperial, irrespective of the Config setup. Not only that, but the inputs outside of the static results are in imperial as well, so i have to convert the entire input (shell thickness, OD. Static results) into imperial from my Metric input.
I'd say that's a fairly substantial bug tbh.

Hi, Mr. Ay
I have downloaded and installed the last built of CAESAR II 5.30 (built 110228) in order to resolve this issue, but i still have problems with the units when i use the [get loads from output] button and the loads comes in imperial units when i´m working with metrics units. Also the input menu does not show me the units that i have to use to introduce the additional data for nozzle and vessel (diameters, wall thickness, temperature, pressure, etc.)

Best regards,
Jesus Sanchez
