Hi,

I have a double PSV system that goes to blow down.
I want to isolate is some way the reaction forces after the opening of the PSV (around 30kN)

My first try was to add rigid support that solve the reaction forccs but make worst the thermal analysis of the system.
My second intetion was to add a shock abrorber but I am not sure how to aplly the case to Caesar.

If rigid supports are to be selected what are the load cases to be applied?

If shock absorber are to be selected how can I apply the reaction forces into Caesar Static Loads Cases? Should I or not?
What are the stress verifications that I should check?

Thanks

I guess you mean limit stop as rigid support, no spl load case is required...

Apart from SUS+F1 code stress combination, the flange check at PSV inlet flange and outlet flange plays a major role.

add rigid support that solve the reaction forccs but make worst the thermal analysis of the system.
Unless the layout is seen, the reason for high thermal load cannot be envisaged.
