Dear all,

See the title.

I wonder there is a choice in CAESAR ii that the caclulate process is according to the EN standard. Because the EN standard stresses has S1~S5 which are different from ASME.

Thanks a lot.

On the Allowable Stress dialog, just select the EN-13480 piping code.

Thanks R.A.

but a little more questions:

1.What about the equation used in CAESAR when I choose the EN standard?

2.Where can I see the S1~S5(means the stress1~stress5) defined in EN standard? Or, I still see the [SUS] and [EXP] stress range which are defined in ASME standard.

Thanks again.

1. The equations used by CAESAR II can be found in the quick start guide.

2. Which stresses are you talking about (chapter/paragraph in the code or formula number in the code)? The stres formulas are almost the same in comparison with ASME B31.3. Except that ASME gives allowable values Sh directly and EN lets you calculate these values.
