Dear all,

I want to know the allowable stress value for SA-572 Gr 60. I have tried to search it through Sec II Part D, but couldn't find anything about this. In Sec II part A , its tensile and yield strength are given as 75 and 60 ksi respectively.
can we use the minimum of .67*Yield St. and Tensile St/ 3.5.

That material is (as you point out) not in ASME Section II - Part D. The strategy you suggest is acceptable. However, if you are buiding a coded vessel, you should check with you Authorised Inspector (AI). We at Intergraph do not have the authority to certify and unlisted material.
