Dear All,
While performing analysis for a system....we provide the wind loads & uniform loads for the starting node and not for each element / nodes in the system.
My question is, Does CAESAR applies these loads for entire system as built in function or the we have to include the loads for all nodes?
Thanks in advance......have a blasting new year!!!!!!!

Wind and Uniform loads, just like Allowable Stresses are duplicated forward by CAESAR II. So once you define a value, that value applies to all succeeding elements.

Thank you Richard, In addition to the above post:
When the properties are propagated, should the uniform load box not then become automatically ticked on all the other elements?
I ask this as when you add the loads to the first element after completing the model geometry, the uniform load tick box does not appear ticked on any of the other elements? Are the loads in fact applied, as I generally ensure the boxes are all ticked manually.
Regards
Paul

There is no need you do this. You can check by yourself by pressing the "Show uniform loads" icon.

There are three checkboxes that are simply flags indicating that you have entered data (that will be duplicated) by the software. These three are: allowable stresses, uniform loads, and wind/wave.
If you check the checkbox on every element, then you would have to change the values on every element in the event the data changes. By only checking the checkbox when necessary, you minimize the amount of editing when values change.
Also note that these three checkboxes are the only checkboxes that represent "elemental data". All of the other checkboxes represent "nodal data". Typically, you would want "elemental data" duplicated while you would not want "nodal data" duplicated.

Hi Everyone,
I have inherited a very large model that has the Wind checkbox checked for every single node with wrong data. Is there any way that I can bulk un-ckeck them from the list input?
It will take forever if I have to un-check them one by one.

Open the Wind/Wave list (left lower corner of input screen), select all the rows except first one, then delete.

Unfortunately, someone likely used the node re-sequencing function, which toggles that feature. I've run into this more than once, and the best I've come up with is to double-click to disable the wind, enter on the keyboard to kill the pop-up message, and pgdn button to go to the next element.
Trying to delete the entries on the wind tab has proven to be finicky, and deletions of entries simply won't take.

Thanks Guys, I tried danb's solution and it worked, I often use bulk operation in the Elements tab, not sure why it didn't strike to me to do the same for the Wind/Wave !

Thanks. Your method works perfectly. Saved me hours to delete the WIND input one by one.
