We maintain natural frequency of piping more than 7 hz specially for dynamic analyzed system. Why it is so ?
In my understanding natural frequency of environment is 4 hz so we can make a piping system with 50% more or less than 7 hz to avoid resonance. So we can have piping frequency of less than 2 hz or more than 6 hz. Again start up frequency of any system is high so 2 hz system may fall under resonance category . That's why more than 7 hz frequency is considered as safe piping natural frequency.
