How much important is for a stress analysis the term: " all stress cases coroded-Configure CaesarII" and what are the implication??

Corrosion in CAESAR II is handled differently depending on what your active piping code is.

For example, B31.1 doesn't mention corrosion, so even if you specify a corrosion allowance, we ignore it.

B31.3 on the other hand states that a corroded section modulus should be used when computing the stresses for the SUS and OCC load cases.

So, what do you do if you're running B31.1 and want to consider corrosion? Or, what do you do if you're running B31.3 and want to corrode the EXP case?

Answer: Check the checkbox for "All Stress Cases Corroded". When you do this, we corrode everything according to your input.

Pipe loads and pipe stiffness is always based on uncorroded pipe dimensions.

Corrosion, where appropriate, will adjust A and Z in the stress calculations (F/A & M/Z). It will also be used in the wall thickness check.
