When you do WRC 107 calculations for a vessel with a nozzle coming out of a weld cap, are you required to subtract the mill tolerance (12.5% in this case)? Are you supposed to on all nozzles that have mill tolerances also? I have been unable to pin point the answer anywhere. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

From our Vessel Group:

"This would depend on how the weld cap is made. I would guess that the material in the knuckle would thin out while the material in the crown would be the regular thickness. An easy way to sort this out would be to measure the thickness in the crown and see what it is."
