For an unreinforced fabricated tee the flexibility factor given by ASME B31.3 APPENDIX D is 1 (unitary). This is what Caesar II consider in the stiffness matrix when the user encodes and sif/tee.

If you take, for example, a straight intersection DN36xDN36 the flexibilities factors obtained by finite element analysis are:

- In plane: Ki=6,98 (against 1 of CAESAR II)
- Out of Plate: Ko=31,98 (against 1 of CAESAR II)

These values can be confirmed through ASME paper "Flexibility Factor and Stress Indices for Piping Components with D/t>=100 Subjected to In-Plane or Out-of-Plane Moment.".

Is there any way to consider these parameters into Caesar II (ki and ko)? Taking into account these parameters all the forces and moments around the tee will be more accurate.

Another point is: Caesar only give the flexibility factor in one direction (ki); what about the others directions?

Thank you for the support.

CAESAR II does what the "Code" says to do, hence the 1.0 for the flexibility factor. You can not change this in the analysis.
