sirs,

i am new to stress and i want to know about turbine and compresser. many place i hv read about it also seminars note.

we checked nozzle loads as per nema/api

and individuals and total loads

with equation F+3M<=500D

and other forces and moments in X,Y,Z directions .
but i want to know what another parameters we should keep in ind while analysis in caeser.

do we model turbine in system?
what details we can get from veder drawing .

You can input suction, discharge and recycle (and maybe relief) lines in one integrated model which includes the compressor body, built from rigid elements and an anchor. Use Cnodes to identify nozzles. You will get the machine geometry from vendor drawings. Sometimes the vendor will give nozzle displacements, then you may need to experiment with rigid body (machine) temperatures to get these right in an integrated model.

With the correct thermal / pressure profiles you will get all the results you need in one Caesar II run. Then move on to check out the nozzle loads to NEMA SM-23.

Dear Moverz,

do you have Any such kind of integrated model, just for our reference , or Diagram (Screen Shot)(Modeled in CAESAR II ) of such model in order to understand how they are connected.

plzz post one diagram with part name so that it will clear the Idea of making such model in CAESAR II.

many thx,

Sorry,I don't have any examples to hand. You will find several in the Coade Caesar II documentation.
