Hi all,

I have created a new Unit file in Caesar for my project. I have set the unit for Pressure and Wind pressure load as 'bars'. But in the static input the unit of design pressure and Wind load pressure appears as 'KPa'. Although the while checking the 'input echo' it shows the conversion of KPa pressure in bars.

I dont know what setting change is required to correct it. I want all pressure input and out in bars. Please suggest.

You will end up with a very small number for wind load if you use bars. The usual unit in SI system is N/m2, or 1 x 10^-5 bar.

I think your other problem of units name is just an editing error.

The units file is read when the input file is first created. Once the input exists, changing the units filter (via the Configuration) has no effect.

For existing input files, you have to use the "Convert Input to New Units" option found under the "\Tools" menu.
