Hi,

I am using piping code 31.8,caesar 5.2 version.I have edited the material to take derating factor for the calculation of allowables.whenever i save the file and take a run ,its showing an error called UMAT1.BIN .Everytime i save a file i have to save the edited material again, which is taking lot of time as i have to analyse lot of different load combinations.

User material changes are stored in the file "umat1.bin", which is located in the \system directory.

What did the error message say?

The errors which it shows are:

IIegal material number/code combination encountered on the element going from 10 to 20.The bad material is 304.Respecify on the spreadsheet.

On the element 10 to 20 the temperature for case 1 is outside the allowed range for this material.

Respecify the material on that element, just randomly pick something else. Now see Error Check the job and see if the error goes away. Assuming everything is ok at this point, reselect your #304 material.
