Is there a way to disable CAESAR II 5.20 from doing an analysis and decrementing a limited-run key while still allowing it to build models and error check?

You can't disable anything, but if all you want to do is build models and error check them, "DON'T" click the "double running man" button. Instead use the button just to the left, the red circle with the white "X". This just runs the Error Checker.

After Error Checking, you can setup static load cases from the "Analysis Button" on the Main Menu. Again, "DON'T" click the "running man" button here either.

The "running man" button will start the analysis and decrement the run counter.

Thanks.

What I had in mind is deleting or renaming a DLL file that is required only for analysis. That way if an analysis were attempted an error would occur and the run count would not be decremented.

I have two limited run keys and one of them has only a few runs left. I want to use that key on one computer for building and error checking models only. I want to disable the analysis function of CAESAR II on that computer so I won't absent-mindedly do an analysis and lose my last run on that key. I also plan to train new analysts by allowing them to build and check their models (but not analyze) using that nearly depleted key.

Actual analyses of those models would be done on a different computer where CAESAR II has not been disabled.
