While computing tube thickness wrt to DIV-2, ASME SEC VIII DIV-2, PART-4 methodology shall be employeed, but PVelite program computes in accordance with ASME SEC VIII DIV-1 APPENDIX-1-1(a)(1) procedure which deviates DIV-2 requirement.

Your comment was a little vague. I presume you are referring to the exchanger tube in a heat exchanger. If that is so, then it makes little difference how the calculation is performed. I agree that strictly speaking, the Division 2 method should be employed, but at least the method is conservative. We shall consider this in a future edition of PV Elite.

Your Presumption is exactly correct, its Heat Exchanger tube & has to deal with UHX Calculations of CODE.

Well, tube can be of an exchanger, a reactor or any other process equipment.
secondly when it come to PVelite Program, tube is referred mostly for an Heat exchanger equipment only, in some rare cases there may be different applications, and such rare cases cannot be modeled in PVelite.

Hence I hope my query was well explanatory & thats the reason you presumed it correctly as an Heat exchanger tube .
