Hi all

I am working on a main steam system, in which I am doing the analysis of large bore and small bore Pipes in separate files (The decoupling ratio is more that 20) Say File-1 for Large bore and File-2 for small bore.
In File-2 I am putting the design case displacement D1 (from File-1) at relevant nodes. Can I add the large bore pipe Occassional (Wind / Sesmic) case displacement at that branch connections in File-2, to consider it's effect on small bore pipe. Suppose D2 is the wind case displacement in Large bore pipe at branch nodes, so can I add it as follows?

L1 - W+D1+T1+P1 (OPE)
L2 - W+D1+T1+P1+WIN1+D2 (OPE+OCC)
L3 - L2-L1 (Pure OCC)

Maybe, it varies by system and how one affects the other. For sure the large system affects the smaller one, but if the smaller one affects the larger one, your displacements are inaccurate.
