Good morning all.

I have a small single mitre bend located near a PS and I am getting an error 12E at this point. ("The bend element is within 5° of the bend far point")

I am assuming that this is because my node for my pipe support is to close to my mitre?

The mitre is so small that the support node is not within the bend geometry so I am surprised to see this error. Yes I can relocate my support, no problem, so for future reference I am interested in a clearer definition of this error message.

The message says that your auxiliary bend node is within "x" degrees of the bend far node point. When nodes are really close together you run the risk of numerical accuracy problems. This is why we check for things of this nature.

Before you alter your model, you can try to change the configuration, to reduce the minimum allowed node spacing on bends. This directive (Minimum Angle to Adjacent Bend) can be found on the "Geometry" tab of the configuration module. Read the "help text" on this item also.
