Dear everyone,
Sorry if my question is not good but i need to confirm something that was not clear.
In Caesar II , during in put Flange we can input in regid by manual or taken data from Caesar II.
My question is that we just need to input the flange weight alone and caesar II with take care the bolts weight or we need to input regid that include flange weight plus bolts weight?
Thanks for your advice to me me clear.

I never take data from CAESAR - not because there is anything wrong with it, but because I have gotten in the habit of inputting the data manually. Therefore I can't answer regarding what CAESAR includes or doesn't include in its valve or flange modeler. Perhaps you can run a test case with only one element - a rigid (flange) - and compare the weights with those listed in a pipe manual - like the NAVCO Piping Datalog or something. What I do for a flange pair is this: for the first flange I input the weight of the bare flange plus the weight of the nuts and bolts. For the mating flange I input only the bare flange weight.

I don't use the data base values either, although I think that bolt weights are excluded. This would be the right way since you may be modelling a single flange, say on a nozzle or a flange pair in a line. If bolt weight were included then one of those would be wrong.

Beware that in higher pressure flanges, the bolt set can be half the weight of a flange, or more if over-length for tensioning equipment.

The Flange weights in the "ANVIL" catalog include half the weights of the studs/nuts. See pages 38-62

Sorry,I mean that we have flange weight and bolts weight
Do we need to input flange weight+bolts weight?
or we just need to input flange weight then the caesar II system have a factor during calculated the model.
